Students will leave this class with an increased ability to navigate cognitive and moral errors that corrupt political reasoning among citizens in diverse societies. Topics covered include the intersection of citizen identity and politics, the ethics of partisan loyalty, and the role of social groups in the formation of our individual political beliefs.
