An advanced introduction to economic theory: supply and demand for goods, services, and factor inputs; market structure; international trade, the distribution of income. First required course for students planning to take 4000-level courses in econ. Prereq: Honors standing, or permission of instructor. Not open to students with credit for 2001.01, 2001.02 (200), or 200H, and AEDEcon 2001 (200) or 2001H (200H).
