This class covers all the required texts of American Civic Literacy Course, as well as other important American literary texts that analyze the theories, practices, and tensions between the founding ideals of liberalism (individual rights and liberties) and republicanism (civic virtue and the common good). Prereq: English 1110.xx; or GE foundation writing and info literacy course.
