A general study of the field of folklore including basic approaches and a survey of primary folk materials: folktales, legends, folksongs, ballads, and folk beliefs. Prereq: Honors standing, and English 1110.xx; or GE foundation writing and info literacy course. Not open to students with credit for 2270, CompStd 2350, or 2350H. Cross-listed in CompStd 2350H.
