Writing for Social Change
In this course we will use academic writing and research practices across various forms of media to investigate the role of citizenship historically and currently, exploring the ways that we as citizens can work towards a more just and diverse society. We will develop a definition of citizenship that emphasizes a citizen?s relationship to their local, national, and global environments. Prereq: English 1110.xx; or GE foundation writing and info literacy course.
