Explores information and scientific literacies in biology and medicine, with emphasis on science as reported in the media and the use of insects and other organisms as model systems. We use evolutionary theory as the unifying framework for all life on earth. The ability to scrutinize science as reported in popular sources and to procure additional, credible information is emphasized. Prereq: Honors standing.
