Medieval history from the late Roman Empire to the early Renaissance. Primary emphasis will be on cultures in Medieval Europe, but students also will be introduced to the Medieval societies and cultures throughout other regions such as the eastern Mediterranean, the Near East and North Africa. Prereq: Not open to students with credit for 1211.
