Hist of the Car

The car has shaped the world we live in today. Ideas of capitalism, technology, and consumerism are inherently linked to its creation and expansion in modern society. This course will examine the development of the car in the 20th century, first in the United States and then how its global expansion has come to define global society today. Prereq or concur: English 1110.xx, GE foundation writing and info literacy course, or permission of instructor.
