A World Divided? Place, Space, and Regions in World Affairs

The course embraces a new approach to world regions by focusing on the ways that the constantly changing social and physical features of our planet are intertwined with, and inform, world affairs. This exploration is carried out in this class through a focus on contemporary geographical issues that reveal the diverse and dynamic social and physical environments we inhabit.
