Level 1-1 Classrm

Standard Japanese at the elementary level, with emphasis on building & applying basic language knowledge in doing things in Japanese; exercises in oral interactions & interactions involving text; introduction to the Japanese writing system. Not open to native speakers of this language through regular course enrollment or EM credits, or to students with 3 or more years of study in this language. Prereq: Not open to students with credit for 1101.02 (101.01) or 4 credits of 1101.51 (101.51).
