Analyzing Sounds

The sounds that languages use are examined. Quantitative analytical tools used in phonetic science are introduced. Small experiments are conducted to introduce students to research. Prereq: Math 1075 or 1148, or an ACT math subscore of 22 or higher that is less than two years old; or Math Placement Level R. Not open to students with credit for 2051H or SphHrng 2051.
