Introduction to issues of "race," consideration of the historical emergence and development of ideas of "race" and of racist practices, along with their contemporary formations. Prereq: 3 cr hrs in AfAmASt or Philos or REGD Foundation; or enrollment in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics major, AfAmASt major, or Philos major; or permission of instructor.
