This course examines ways that social workers can use the law and legal process to advocate for social justice. The purpose is to teach students the legal concepts and principles that shape social welfare policy and impact social work practice. It will also discuss ways students can use this knowledge to influence the legal process and advocate on both a micro and macro level. Prereq: Jr, Sr, or Grad standing.
