Spain as a Global Crossroad: Exploring Spanish Cities, Past and Present
Anchored in Madrid, this course examines how Spanish urban environments are shaped past and present by a range of economic, cultural, political, and social networks within and beyond Iberia. The course combines in-country experiential learning with academic study to explore the city's histories and contemporary transformations with particular attention to its multicultural and global dimensions. Taught in English. Prereq: Not open to students in the Spanish Major or Minor programs.
