Gender, Race & Leadership

This course explores citizenship and leadership by analyzing case studies of leadership from women and people of color throughout American history. Using both activist and scholarly perspectives, students will explore and challenge modes of leadership through the intersectional lens of race and gender, with an emphasis on the role of citizens and citizenship in what it means to be a leader. Prereq: Not open to students with credit for 4403.
