  This class was co taught by three prof, and all of them contributed positively to the learning experience. Dr. Kim's strengths were in clear explanation and thoughtful feedback. Both in and outside of class, he provided detailed explanations of supplementary and beyond class materials, and always took the time to answer questions thoroughly.

  Professor Kim is a fun and engaging instructor. Even though the class discusses in depth topics, he brings many sources that help us understand the ideas clearly. He is also very supportive outside of class and shared helpful advice about career paths. Sometimes we even had class outside on a bench, which made the course memorable.

  I really enjoyed this class! Lectures were fun bc Prof Kim is funny plus the information is interesting. Quizzes/tests were a bit hard to study for since I never know what to focus on so focus on everything :( & try not to miss class bc you'll miss info that u could be tested on. overall good class.

  Dr. Kim's Elements of Korean Culture class was engaging and enriching. I learned so much about Korean history and culture. Though the workload seemed heavy at first, Dr. Kim was considerate with extensions and gave exceptional feedback on every essay, helping us improve our writing. A truly valuable course!
